Miami Swim Week 2019

Miami Swim Week in Miami Beach during mid-July promote swimwear, the swimwear industry, and fun in the tropical sun. Miami Swim Week is well recognized for its glamorous and over the top fashion shows. Swim Fashion Week and SWIMMIAMI are the two most renowned in South Beach.

Swim Fashion Week was created by Funkshion, a respected Miami-based production company with many connections to hotels and swimwear designers. This year, they are producing designer shows at two tents located in Collins Park across from the Bass Museum.

SWIMMIAMI brings fashion shows to South Beach under a joint venture of two New York based production companies, LDJ and SBI.  The team, which previously produced Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim with IMG, sets up a group of runway shows known as SWIMMIAMI, which are held at the W South Beach Hotel and the One Hotel.

A large component of Miami Swim Week includes three of the most important swimwear trade shows: Swimshow, Hammock, and Cabana.

Swimshow, the largest and longest-running swimwear trade show in the world, now in its 35th year, takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Since its inception, this event is where the business of buying and selling swimwear takes place for the swimwear community. Featuring over 2,500 exhibiting brands, the show has established itself with the best swimwear companies and buyers worldwide.

Hammock, an upscale trade show for established and emerging swim, resort, beauty, and accessory brands, was created in 2010 by a New York production company and originally titled Salon Allure. The organization rebranded itself and is now known as Hammock. Held at the W South Beach Hotel, Hammock provides its brands with the option to showcase their collections in private ocean-view suites or in a modern exhibition hall. Footsteps from the ocean and in the center of Swim Week, retailers and media from across the globe will enjoy the intimate and relaxing atmosphere that is Hammock while they visit their favorite brands and discover soon-to-be favorites.

Cabana was introduced in 2013 by Atrium head buyer Janet Wong and Atrium owner Sam Ben-Avraham. The duo founded Cabana as an edited beachwear trade show with a comfortable high-service environment.  Inspired by the best resorts from Tulum, to Cote d'Azur, to Ibiza, Cabana prides itself in creating a relaxing shopping experience.
